The word HEART is mentioned 726 times in the K.J.V. of the Bible
\nEzekiel 14:1 – 7 Idols in the heart Psalm 135:15 – 18 Man’s idols
\nJeremiah 31:31 New covenant Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart
\nMark 12:30 You shall LOVE the Lord with all your HEART, SOUL, MIND, and STRENGTH.
\n1 Samuel. 16:6 & 7 Man looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks on the HEART.
\nJeremiah 17:9 & 10 The HEART is deceitful above all things, I the Lord search the HEART.
\nMatthew. 15:8 Draw near the mouth, honor with lips, but their HEART is far from me.
\nMark 7:21 From out of the HEART proceed all these.
\nGalatians. 5:19 – 21.The same list recorded.
\nTHE WORD FLESH IN THE BIBLE DOES NOT MEAN THE PHYSICAL BODY<\/strong>
\nIt is nothing to do with overweight or lust. Those things only result from walking
\naccording to the flesh.
\nThe flesh is a kingdom in which we live, a materialistic realm which puts wax in our ears
\nand prevents us from hearing the voice of God, because, in that kingdom we rule.<\/p>\n

THE FLESH GETS IT’S POWER FROM WHAT IS IN THE HEART<\/strong>
\nWHAT IS THE HEART ?
\nProverbs 4:23 Keep your HEART with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.
\nLiving Bible, paraphrase. Above all else guard your affections. For they influence
\neverything else in your life.
\nThe word DILIGENCE = Persistent effort, continue firmly, don’t be put off.
\nTHE HEART IS THE CENTER OF MAN’S BEING, CONTROLLING THE EMOTIONS
\nAND THE AFFECTIONS<\/strong>
\nA gauge inside that registers a response in all relationships. Either forgiving, or not
\nforgiving, setting free or binding. Reacting or responding.
\nTo keep the HEART it is a moment, by moment, walk, keeping in tune with Jesus. He is
\nthe only one who knows the truth of what is going on in the HEART.
\nPhilippians 4:6 & 7 tells how to guard the heart.
\n1 Peter 3:11 Seek peace.
\nWE MUST FIRST GIVE OUR HEARTS TO JESUS<\/strong>
\nProverbs. 23:26 My son give me your HEART.
\nEphesians. 3:17 That Jesus may dwell there.
\nCIRCUMCISION OF THE HEART
\nRomans 2:29 Deuteronomy 30:6 Circumcision is that of the HEART in the Spirit.
\n1 Corinthians. 9:12 .Circumcision of the HEART is death to rights.
\nPhilippians. 2:5 on. This is what Jesus did, He gave up His rights.
\nRomans 7:13 – 25. While we live in a fallen nature body, the HEART and the flesh are
\nat war with the spirit.
\nProverbs 26:11. Unless the HEART is changed there will be no lasting victory.
\nAs a dog returns to his vomit so a fool returns to his folly.
\nThe true prayer needs to be
\nPsalm 51:10. Create in me a clean HEART O God and renew a right spirit within me.
\nA simple clue to where the HEART is at, in any situation. If I experience negative
\nfeelings and my mind will not let rest a situation, I need to ask, “Lord Jesus, have I taken that into my HEART?” (expect to hear a yes or no in your mind)
\nIf the answer is yes, agree with the witness of the Spirit and repent, forgive yourself and
\nanyone else involved. Then renounce all control out of your heart, and cut the soul tie.

\nA simple question, Lord Jesus, what was my HEART response to that situation will
\nreveal the truth.
\nGenesis 17:9 & 11 CIRCUMCISION WAS GOD’S COVENANT.
\nNo. 1 A cutting off. 1 John 2:15
\nNo. 2 No darkness John 3:19. Evil grows in darkness.
\nNo. 3 No secrets Proverbs 26:20 and 22 ( tale bearer = gossip ).
\nExodus 4:24 – 26. Moses had not obeyed God and circumcised his son.
\nDISOBEDIENCE, unless it was put right he had no power to destroy the enemy.
\nEphesians 4:27. Told to give no place to the Devil.
\nCIRCUMCISION is a dividing line, you either have or have not.
\nUNCIRCUMCISED, Open for temptation, hidden, disease,
\nHebrews 12:15 Open to a root of bitterness
\nEUNUCHS, No threat, self dead
\nEsther 2 looked after the women.
\nCRITICISM = Discernment with unforgiveness in the HEART.
\nThe heart and torment.
\nMatthew 18. The fallen angels live in the ever-present state of torment,
\nthey are the tormenters. When we judge wrongly we are handed over to
\nthem till we repent, (Pay the last penny)
\n1 John 4:18 What drives torment is fear.
\nIt is not the wrong that is the issue, it is getting free of the tormentors who
\nhad free reign in our lives before being born of the Spirit and after, if we
\njudge.
\nThe tormentors control the mind and the emotions, locking it all up in the
\nheart.
\nTo deal with the heart it is a matter of repentance for the response and
\ncommanding the heart to let go of the emotions the tormentors have had a
\nright to.
\nThe heart must come in line with the Will, the Will must be surrendered to
\nthe will of Father God which is what He requires by forgiving and dealing
\nwith our judgments, because He has forgiven us.
\nHebrews 4:12b The Word (Of God) is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
\nheart.
\nThe heart needs to be check against the Father God’s Word.
\nUnder the Law they had to do certain things. Didn’t matter what was in their hearts.
\nThey were called to make their hearts obey.
\nNow under grace the heart is to obey the law of the Spirit, that law is to forgive and deal
\nwith all personal judgments.
\nDeuteronomy 30:14. “But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.”
\nThe Word is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
\nWe are then required to deal with what is discerned by an act of the will.
\nDeuteronomy 30:14 is very clear,
\nTo treat our heart differently is to give it control.
\nWhat stops the heart from releasing control is PRIDE.<\/p>\n
